At Porter Creek Hunting Club Inc., 
we pride ourselves on putting you on a decoying hunt, with personal service, fine food, and a comfortable lodge with birds in the back yard.

  • Porter Creek's land is scouted every evening by our guides. 

  • Our goal is to put you on the spot where we have "happy feeding birds," not just birds on the ground.

  •  Your guide knows where the birds are roosting, and where they will be feeding in the morning. 

  • Yes, they have wings and can feed wherever they want to! But we spend a great deal of time scouting flight and feeding patterns, and our track record speaks for itself.

We average 4 to 5 birds per man a day on geese.

Not only do we have the largest wintering flock of geese, we have a wide range of habitat for ducks as well. Flooded rice fields with blinds, and set aside land with natural grasses and coastal marshes.

All of these conditions make up Texas' finest waterfowl shooting!

We pride ourselves on putting you on the best hunt mother nature allows (as well as Texas Parks and Wildlife). So come enjoy a relaxing meal that can’t be surpassed. If your meal didn't get your mind right,  then maybe 30,000 to 50,000 geese roosting outside your bedroom window will!  We’ll do everything controllable to put you on a hunt that is everything you would expect. If you still don’t have your mind right after that, SEEK HELP!!

  • Porter Creek Hunting Club limits its bookings to 3 parties a day on approximately 15,000 acres of cash leased land. 
  • We have access to additional land, which provides limited hunting pressure. 
  • All hunts are A.M. hunts only. We do have afternoon hunts available on a limited basis--these include quail and pheasant, dove, Sandhill crane, and duck hunts. 
  • Any afternoon hunts need to be booked prior to arrival.

Booking Information

Porter Creek Hunting Club provides:

3 meals, lodging, guided hunt

Price: $300 per day per gun 
(4 man minimum per party)

Deposits: $150 per gun per day is required to confirm your dates.

You need to bring:

  • Personal hunting gear 

  • hip boots

  • chest waders

  • rain gear

  • Ice chest 

  • Bug Spray 

  • Flash light 

  • Shot gun 

  • Beverages (beer, liquor, soft drinks, etc.)

We have available:

  • Shot shells - 12 gauge 
    2 3/4"-3 1/2" and 10 gauge

  • Bird processing
